So you’ve just joined an online dating community. Do not be discouraged when your prospect dates have not yet responded to your queries.

Women members of online dating portals receive an average of fifty to 200 queries from other members of the opposite sex. This means she’s just taking time going through all the queries she had received. You need to be a bit more patient.

Have a proactive approach when it comes to online dating. Focusing on one woman would reduce your chances of landing a response. So, try sending messages to different women in order to bolster the probabilities of getting a good response.

Carefully choosing your would-be dates is a good thing to do since this would help you land the dates who have the same interests as yours. However, don’t be too selective.

You have to try creating a unique profile when sending messages. Make it stand out because there will be a lot of messages for one woman from other members of the online dating community.

Starting out with an interesting username is favorable. In addition, read through the profiles of your intended partners in order to incorporate a few things they like on your own profile, but keep in mind to include just the things you are actually interested in.

By doing so, your prospective partners will read through your profile after receiving a query from you and end up remembering you because of the stuff that’s on your profile.

She may even feel that you took the time to read through her profile and subsequently establish a connection with her.

Be truthful about the things you put on your profile. Lying about stuff will just ruin your entire reputation in the online dating community.

In addition, it will be harder to correct lies whenever you and your dates have known each other better. It would also prevent you from enjoying while you’re on a date with the other members of the online dating community because you’ll be too careful to cover up all the lies you’ve told your
dates before you got to go out on a date with them.

Online Dating Tips For Men (Part 1)

No matter what your age, height, weight or physical appearance, there are thousands of women out there eager to meet you and eager for your company…whether short-term or long-term relationships are what you want.

If you have found yourself suddenly “on-the-market” again after a relationship has dissolved or are just too busy with your work to spend a lot of time looking for a lady to keep you company, online dating can open the door to the dating scene for you.

The good news is that all you need is a computer and an internet connection to get started.

The first thing to do is find an online dating site that fits your needs. There are the large sites that offer many extras like live video chat and even match you up with ladies using your profiles and, also, a lot of sites that cater to special interests like religious preferences, outdoor enthusiasts, gays, etc. You need to choose one or two that will meet your needs. I don’t recommend the free sites. The paid sites have a money back guarantee if you aren’t satisfied and the investment is small. A whole month costs less than one dinner and movie date.

The next thing you need to do is write a killer, but honest, profile and upload a recent but flattering picture of yourself.

Now you are all set.

Start contacting ladies whose profiles sound interesting to you and answer any lady who contacts you…and do so promptly…not, however, on holidays or weekends. You don’t want to appear that desperate.

Don’t give up after a month and think you will never find the right lady for you. New people join online dating services daily and at least half of them are ladies many, of whom, will want to meet you.

Establishing Online Dating Relationships: Safety First

Online dating can be fun. But don’t neglect safety and common sense when you try to hook up with a mate. At minimum, take caution in the following areas.

1. Protect Your Computer

Take care of your equipment and systems before you head out into the Internet realm. You need to have a firewall and anti-virus protection for your email and for when you search websites and interact online. At the bare minimum, you may want these two solutions that are offered at no charge to
home computer users (i.e. not for commercial use):

Free Firewall Download: ZoneAlarm www.zonelabs.com
Free Anti-Virus Download: AVG Anti-Virus www.grisoft.com

2. Protect Yourself

Take care of yourself, too, by choosing appropriate dating sites. Seek and choose a reputable online dating service.  How? Begin by asking around with friends, neighbors, co-workers and others you may know who have tried online dating, and see which places they recommend.

In addition, search “online dating services” and keep a notebook of their URLs or website links, the fees, rules and regulations, complete contact information of each and any other useful information that spikes your interest. Then compare each place. Try only those places where you feel safe. Avoid the others.

Also, don’t ever reveal any confidential and personal information about yourself that can expose you to any harm or danger such as your phone number, address, your identification number, highly seductive pictures of yourself, your real age etc.

It’s better to be safe than sorry.

3. Be Cautious
The internet is always different from reality. If you do decide to meet your friend face to face, always be sure to meet somewhere public like a shopping mall or places where there are many people. Refrain from meeting him/her alone and be sure to bring along a friend or friends who will look out for your safety.

Also, don’t be taken in by first impressions and it’s better to be cautious about who you are meeting. Do inform your friends about your meeting and meeting place so that they can be able to reach you should anything go wrong.

Go for the offline date being more aware of your surroundings.

So take care. Arm your computer – and yourself- with the correct tools and knowledge!
