Dating Etiquette

When you go on a date there is a proper dating etiquette to follow. Of course, even when you go out with your friends, there is a certain behavior you would have.

When you go out on a date you should look and dress appropriately and neatly. This will show the other person you care about your appearance and that you also care about what they think about you. If you didn’t care about what the other person thinks then you probably shouldn’t be going out on a date with them.

Dating etiquette for men, remember to act gentlemanly. Of course, you shouldn’t just act gentlemanly for this date and not for the rest of your relationship. You want her to know the real you and vice versa.

For example, if the girl you are going out with is a feminist, then let her open the doors and do things for herself or it will bother her. She also will want to pay for
her own meal. If you are not going on a date with an independent woman who is a feminist then you should open the doors, be on time when you pick her up, and be prepared to pay for the entire date.

Don’t take your date somewhere you cannot afford and never find yourself asking your date for money to cover the bill. It will be embarassing, and your date will never forget that moment, whether she thinks it is hilarious or not.

Dating etiquette also includes not making the other person feel as if they are in an interview. It is common for people on a first date to ask many questions because they just want to get to know the other person.

Go slow with the questions. Ask those that you think can help you gauge if the other party is suitable to be in a long term relationship with. Of course, you may not always get it right, but if your date ends well, most likely there will be a second one following up.
